He gave me his correct insurance papers and said he would report it to claims. He never did I had to on Tuesday. His insurance knew nothing of the matter. I'm 23 years old and I live in California. I work full time but only make $8 an hour. My husband is 25 and has been disabled since age 12. He has a serious back injury and may be paralyzed one day and he cannot work. If this ever happens, I really don't want to be $1 million dollars in debt because we are uninsured. I have never bought health insurance before and I have NO IDEA what I am doing. I'm looking for insurance that will cover him if he needs to go to the emergency rooom, needs an operation or will cover him if he does indeed become paralyzed. Where do I start? Lower cost health insurance recommendations needed?

I'm hoping to be working in a few more days thru a staffing agency but their insurance isnt very good, over $800/month for my son and I and VERY limited medical. He has ADHD and has to have coverage. I doubt if we qualify for any state assistance too. But I've looked at a few individual plans thru various carries and they arent much better... for just over $350/month we're both covered (not including dental or vision) but the deductible is SUPER high does anyone know of any insurances with individual plans with a decent price and coverage. Insurance and pregnancy?

I had a baby 4 months ago and had insurance from November 2011 until September 2012 ( I canceled as I could no longer afford it.) My husband got a new job and as of January 5th 2013 I will be covered under his plan ( a bit more affordable). The issue is I am pregnant ( very early). Will they consider this pre existing? This was not planned! I has an apt for birth control but my baby got ill and had to pay 3000.00 in medical so I had to push it back and now, I'm pregnant again.

Progressive auto insurance problem !?

I need an opinion on what should i do in this case. 3 weeks ago , as I was driving home , on the freeway , from the truck in front of me fell big peace of ice and hit my car from underneath. Less than 1 minute later i noticed blue smoke behind , luckily there was and exit with gas station right there. By the time i pulled up to the gas station car was barely moving. After staying parked for 20 min , it leaked oil and tranny fluid . I called towing , had them pick the car up , called progressive made the claim. All of that happened in WI near Milwaukee , before i used to leave in Chicago , so I never dealt with progressive from WI. After couple days adjuster came out and gave shop 1100$ to start the repairs , shop diagnosed everything and came to a conclusion that its the transmission leaking because of the damage inside. Adjuster was extremely slow to give shop any kind of approvals to do anything , So after 3 weeks they finally allowed them to take transmission apart , another adjuster came out took pictures , then shop owner want around , called me and said that he will call me next day. Next day shop owner calls me asking if I heard anything from progressive ? I call that guy back , but he went on vacation. Call my first adjuster , she says that the guy who went on vacation concluded that it wasn't related to impact , so they wont pay for anything and I owe 500 for taking down transmission. I called shop owner right away asking if its possible , not being related to impact , he says of course not , otherwise your car wouldn't break after impact. He also said some technical explanation what caused it to break , i just don't know what. he also said that no one ever called him and asked him what was the cause if that. I dealt with progressive in Chicago twice , when i lived there , and i had greatest experience ever , but it seems that in Milwaukee , they are playing games , making me pay , and not taking responsibilities. I figured somebody might know what should I do in this case , I just want them to do what they should do , especially when Im paying 200$ a month.

I've just had a minor accident,there were no witnesses but a van just pulled out of a parking space on the side of the road and hit me as I was driving up the road,I was going real slow as I was looking for a space to park myself,in fact I was driving right in the middle of the road as there was a massive lorry parked before the van and he took up so much of the road,you had no choice but to drive over the middle white line (just to point out there were no cars in the other lane).My car is fine but his van has smashed,mirror,lights,dents etc...He went mad saying it's his brand new works van and his boss will go mad and make him pay for the damage and he was stationary but I know he wasn't and there are no witnesses,the only vehicle around was the lorry and the driver was in the shop.How do I stand with this as I've never had anything like this happen before,also I did agree to swap insurance details and gave him mine first as soon as he had mine,he jumped in his van and sped off,luckily the company he works for was written on the van,as it's evening now I can't get hold of anyone but will telephone tomorrow morning to get his/their insurance details.
